I am working at Research Institute of Basic Sciences, Seoul National University, as a member of Weather and Climate Dynamics Lab. with Prof. Seok-Woo Son.
My research focuses on various aspects of atmospheric dynamics including wave–mean-flow interactions across scales. The topics include internal gravity waves, large-scale tropical waves, and the quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) driven by these waves. I am particularly interested in their spatio-temporal variations, with the aim of better understanding and modeing the QBO and wave dynamics, which impact upon seasonal and climate predictions. Another topic of studies is scale interactions in association with synoptic-scale flows/waves in the troposphere, which have direct implications for weather phenomena.

My CV can be found here.
